又一周的隔離期過去了，

有很多人已經復工。

*More and more people return to the office to resume work.

網易云音樂的小伙伴Richard留言給我們說，哎呀，我都出門上班4天了，你們兩個還在討論在家辦公。而且Ta還告訴我們，到公司的第一件事就是要用酒精洗手，還有帶新口罩。

所以呢，今天翩翩老師和 Mary就要來和大家一起聊一聊，復工這件大事。

1.To resume work： 復工

復工怎么說呢？

* 復工：

resume work

Go back to work

* 去公司復工：

Go back to the office to work

Resume the work at the office

非常實用的表達：

在未來某一天復工：

* I go back to work on + 未來的日子

I go back to work on Friday. 我周五復工

該在某天復工：

* I’m supposed to go back to work on + 日期.

I’m supposed to go back to work on Friday.

我應該是周五復工（不確定）。

* I was supposed to go back to work on + 過去的日期.

I was supposed to go back to work on last Friday.

我本來是該上周五上班的。

* push back and push back: 往后推了又推

* I’m grateful for it. 我很感恩。（很多人對推遲上班是充滿感恩的，是不是你也是？）

大家對復工的態度是怎樣的？

你感受如何？

對于employer（雇主）來說，要承擔更多的責任，因為要：

take certain measures 采取措施

* ensure employee’s safety保證員工的安全

*sanitizer/'sæn?,ta?z?/ 消毒劑

wait for any update 等待更新 通知

一席目前是要求大家在家等update（新的通知），現在大家都在家辦公，也很高效。

然后，節目中的笑場來了：

Mary想說：

as tired as I am of having such an unregulated schedule（雖然已經受夠了目前這么不確定的時間表…），但是unregulated有點拗口，她說錯兩次，自己還嘟囔道： I actually know English.我真的懂英語的（可愛的美國女孩）。

* Here’s the thing：情況是

* not willing to go back to work ：不想去上班

* get everything back to normal ：希望一切都恢復正常

* We’re still pretty far away from normal ：我們離恢復正常還很遠。

* It’s not worth the risk ：不值得冒險

* too risky ：太危險了

* vaccine/væk?si?n/

* hand sanitizers /'sæn?,ta?z?/ ：消毒洗手液

* play it by ear隨機應變

It ended up not doing anything 結果什么都沒做

3.Is there a possibility to refuse going back into work?

可以拒絕去上班嗎？

If you’ve gone back/are going back already, did you volunteer to go or do you feel like you don’t have a choice?

你是自愿去上班的嗎？還是無可奈何？

*refuse going back into work：拒絕回去上班

*give back to society：回報社會

*Did you volunteer：你是自愿的嗎？

*You don’t have a choice：沒有別的選擇（無可奈何）

*We were required to volunteer：被要求去做志愿

*community service：社區服務

Mary的高中，想要畢業，必須做一些公益的社會實踐活動，好像這也是美國學校的一種主流文化哦。

但是，聽起來很不錯的“社區服務”，也會有 negative context（負面的含義），比如Mary的英國男朋友就會覺得：
