名詞所有格可以用來表達時間

名詞以-s結尾或者本身是以-s結尾的復數名詞, 所有格加 ’

順序句式...,the clock stopped at five to twelve.

but 然而, 表轉折

The clock has stopped!現在完成時, 強調過去動作導致的結果.

It was true that+從句

refuse to do sth.拒絕去做某事

I refuse to leave.我拒絕離開

at that moment :just then就在那時

過去時 began to laugh and sing.

during 在……期間

in the holiday:強調這段時間其中某一點時間, 并不表示自始至終

during the holiday 強調假期的從頭到尾
