生物安全，是指國家有效防范和應對危險生物因子及相關因素威脅，生物技術能夠穩定健康發展，人民生命健康和生態系統相對處于沒有危險和不受威脅的狀態，生物領域具備維護國家安全和持續發展的能力。

《中華人民共和國生物安全法》共計十章八十八條，聚焦生物安全領域主要風險，完善生物安全風險防控體制機制，著力提高國家生物安全治理能力，自2021年4月15日起施行。生物安全法是生物安全領域的基礎性、綜合性、系統性、統領性法律，其頒布和實施有利于保障人民生命安全和身體健康，有利于維護國家安全，有利于提升國家生物安全治理能力，有利于完善生物安全法律體系。

我們要加快補齊治理體系的短板弱項，要構筑強大的公共衛生體系，提升國家生物安全防御能力。
