第33章 一項集體運動——排球

David：What is your favorite sport?

你最喜歡的運動是什么?

You：My favorite sport is playing volleyball.

我最喜歡打排球。

David：How long have you played volleyball?

你打多久了?

You：10 years on and off. Actually volleyball is a team sport and sometimes we can’t getenough people who also love to play volleyball, to make up a team and pay the fare. If you’reby yourself, then it’s not so much fun. It’s only practice … exercise.

斷斷續續有10年了。排球是一項集體運動，有時候都湊不夠人一起打球、分攤費用;但一個人打又沒意思，就成了一種練習了。

David：Maybe too individual?

太孤單了吧?

You：Well, it’s different from playing with other people. Too boring. I like volleyball because itis a team sport. I can play and communicate with others and we can all enjoy playing the gametogether.

對啊，自己打不如找人一塊兒打，自己打太悶了。我愛打排球就是因為它是集體運動，可以和別人交流，一起享受運動的樂趣。

David：By the way, I heard that the Chinese national volleyball team is one of the best in theworld. Is it true?

順便說一下，我聽說中國國家排球隊是世界上最棒的，是嗎?

You：Yes. Women’s volleyball in particular. There was a time they played so well that they wonthe championship for five times in a row. Lang Ping was the most famous player back then.She was the team captain. She later coached the national team.

中國女排是這樣的。有一段時間女排表現極佳，獲得五連冠。郎平以前是女排中最出色的隊員，也是以前女排的隊長。退役后執教中國女排。

David：How about men’s volleyball?

男排怎樣呢?

You：Men's volleyball pales when compared with the achievements of the women's. But menare better known for their achievements in basketball, like Yao Ming.

沒有女排成績好。男籃很不錯，姚明就是一名很出色的隊員。
