1.company man是什么意思？
看到"company"相信大部分的人都知道它的意思：公司，陪伴。那老外說你是“company man”是什么意思呢？
英文釋義
A male employee whose allegiance to his company or its management—or the interests thereof—takes precedence or priority over his own opinions or the interests of his fellow workers.
看待公司或其管理層或其利益高于自己的或同事的人，十分忠于公司的人。
Dating from the 1920s, a period of considerable labor unrest, this term uses company in  the  sense  of  "a  business  concern"  and  was  often  applied  as  a  criticism  by  supporters  of  labor  unions.

2.confidence man不是說“自信的人”
老外說 You're a confidence man 是什么意思？
聽到“You're a confidence man”，想著這是在夸贊自己自信吧？心里是不是還有點小竊喜？其實這不是一句好話！
雖然confidence有“信心；自信”的意思，但confidence man是指：詐騙錢財的騙子?？赡苁且驗?nbsp;confidence man 很擅長利用 confidence tricks 信任的伎倆。所以當老外說You're a confidence man是在說“你是個騙子”。
例：
A: At least I have people skills.
至少我掌握些人際技巧。

3.straw man是什么意思？
straw的本意是“稻草”，那么加上man其實你就可以理解為“稻草人”。根據稻草人的用途功能，straw man也在口語中被引申使用為“假想敵、被用作擋箭牌的人”。
